Lisa Bielser Representing IAGDM in Council CWC Contest
Lisa Bielser, CPCU, CPIW, AIS, and the current President of IAGDM, will represent IAGDM as the Communicate With Confidence contestant at the Iowa Council meeting to be held in October. Lisa “practiced” her speech at IAGDM’s September monthly dinner meeting during a “contest” conducted by Rosemarie Piontowski, Education Committee Chairman.
Communicate with Confidence is one of the premier educational courses offered through NAIW. Sessions provide training in public speaking through delivery of prepared and impromptu speeches. The course guide includes material on speech structure, vocal delivery, using gestures, lexicography, round-table and panel discussion, plus a description of the traditional, group approach to class presentation. Members who complete the course are eligible to compete in competitions held at the local, council, regional and international levels.
