NAIW (International) members have the opportunity to earn professional designations available only to NAIW (International) members: Certified Professional Insurance Woman/Man (CPIW/M) and Diversified Advance Education (DAE). Members may compete for a variety of awards on the local, state, regional and international levels. Awards recognize industry excellence and achievement in areas of claims, public speaking, automation, and association participation. Scholarships:
The Insurance Scholarship Foundation of America was founded by the members of the National Association of Insurance Women (International) in 1993, to provide scholarships to college students preparing for a career in the insurance industry, and for men and women working in the insurance industry seeking to improve their career opportunities . The insurance industry has been strengthened as more and more men and women have pursued their educational goals assisted by over $342,500 in scholarships from the Foundation.
ISFA Scholarship Programs include: College Scholarships: offered to junior and senior students whose major or minor course of study is Insurance, Risk Management, or Actuarial Science. Scholarships are awarded annually in June. Professional Scholarships: offered to men and women employed in the insurance industry pursuing a designation program, studying other industry courses, or completing their degree. Scholarships are awarded in October, February and June.
